Diabetes is a common and distressing disease, which has seen a worrying rise in prevalence over the years. The role of lifestyle modifications and nutritional interventions in the management of diabetes, particularly type 2 diabetes is undisputable. This module emphasizes on the Malaysian scenario of diabetes, the available evidences on the impact of lifestyle modifications on patients with type 2 diabetes, as well as the significance of front liners such as primary care practitioners and dietitians in the effective management of type 2 diabetes.
This module is based on a CPD symposium delivered during the Primary Care Diabetes Summit 2019.
